Re-Inventing Myself

As I sit here on this Thanksgiving Weekend in Canada, I feel the warm breeze and watch the leaves falling gently from the trees. It reminds me of how frequently nature in Canada changes. Every season brings something new … a new quarter in the business world, a new school semester, a new sports season and with that an opportunity for new habits and lessons for us as individuals.

Reflect for a minute how your lifestyle and habits will change in this new season … autumn, or fall. Or whatever season you are entering as you read this article.

LISTEN … get outside and listen. What is your environment telling you? In a quiet moment of reflection what comes to you? What are you thankful for? What can you do to help someone else? What will you do to help yourself?

As I sit here today and go through this exact exercise a flock of Canada Geese fly overhead. It reminded me of last night at sunset, when a formation of geese approached me haphazardly over the lake, then as they abruptly turned toward me as I filmed them, they started to form their “V” formation … practising for their journey south this winter. Did you know geese lose their flight feathers over the summer. You will find them swimming around the lakes and walking around in parks and on shore but not flying. It’s the late summer and fall they shed their summer feathers and get their flight feathers back. And then they practise, and practise, and practise … to prepare for their long flights south with their new wings.

Let the seasons guide you into something new to practise, like the Canada Geese. Maybe you are ready to take on some new habits, or refocus your energy with existing habits? How will you renew yourself this season – personally, in health, with family, in wealth, in business or your career? Be like the Canada Goose and take on the new challenge of the season … and fly!

This autumn I will reinvent some existing books, personal and business success materials and rebrand them as part of my new Casual Millionaire® trademark in Canada.

My goal is to make this material readily available and affordable to all who are interesting in re-inventing themselves or at the very least re-tweaking a few things in their lives with the changing seasons.

My Casual Millionaire® program(s), books and tips are all original, not a white-labelled service of someone else. It’s not someone else’s material I’m selling, this is all me. All Deborah Clarke … all tests I’ve put myself through; all lessons I’ve learned first hand; and all material and tools I’ve used personally to get me through any obstacles, problems and major choices I’ve faced in my life so far. Are there other versions of these tools and materials out there? Of course, because after all, when it comes to achieving individual success we know success leaves clues. And, if you monitor habits, tools and attitudes of a wide range of successful people you will find, while we are all different, many of our habits, including mindset, will have similarities.

What are some of the things yoga will help me with?
Yoga can and will help you with many things.  Yoga can help with breathing, not by changing your breathing for you, but helping you to recognize your own breaths. Yoga will teach you how to get in touch with you own breathing, so you can better control it. Yoga will help you learn how to control your mind as well as your breathing, if you have asthma it can help, carpal tunnel, depression, anger issues, lower back pain, multiple sclerosis, osteoarthritis of the knees, memory problems, heat disease, high blood pressure, can help you lose weight, will also help the elderly or someone that has balance trouble keep balance.   Yoga helps you to listen to your own body.  It gets you in touch with yourself (inside and outside), so it can help in many ways.

How do I get started with Yoga?
A good place to start is to talk to a physician, family doctor or therapist you are already working with and see if they have a recommendation for you.   But, you can always go on line and search for any type of yoga you may be interested in.  I suggest you start with ‘beginner yoga classes’ or ‘gentle yoga’.    There are many free classes out there for you to get started.

One site that I use online (I use the free version) is Do Yoga With Me.

Can yoga hurt me?
Yoga can hurt you if you don’t know what your doing or you do too much of it at once that is why you need to talk to your family doctor or a trusted Yoga Teacher before you start anything new that is stressful to your body. You have to take these kinds of things slow it’s just like exercising, you have to build yourself up. You can’t run right into it and expect full benefits from it. It doesn’t  work that way. It takes time and obligation before you will see any changes in your body or mind.

When learning to do yoga just take your time and be conscious to it learn all you can learn cause it will help you deal with many health issues. You may have just don’t try to do it all at once and make sure you call your family doctor to make sure it ok to do it. Then try to find a good group. Groups are always easier for some one that way you have some support to turn to if you have any problems. If you can’t afford gym payments, then try asking family and friends to join you. You can start your own home gym at home. At local dollar stores, you will find videos for one buck. Use the videos to gain skills in exercise and yoga.

Yoga is an interesting exercise, it will get your entire body moving and stretching, helping you to build muscle and reduce stress.  Give it a try, Yoga will provide many benefits and in return is a great way to move forward improving your overall personal life.

Making Money with Articles: Niche Websites

Choosing a good niche subject to base your website around is one of the most important aspects of making money off of your articles. This will give you a foundation to build from and you can target one general audience with a pack of keywords that they are most likely to be searching for. You should take each one of these keywords and use it for the basis of one article on each page. This way, even though you are targeting one specific subject, you will be sure to interest a wide variety of people in that one niche. They may also find other pages that interest them, which will keep them returning to your site to learn new information about the niche subject.

The best way to find keywords for your niche subject is to use a keyword software program and type in the word that is the subject of your niche. This will generate a list of keywords or phrases that contain your niche and will also show you approximately how many people search for each word or phrase. Some software programs may also tell you how many sites are out there to compete with for each word or phrase (this will help you know if those sites are worth competing with for the number of searches out there). You then deicide which of these would be most profitable by determining which have the least amount of competitors, so that you have a chance at making it to the first or second page of search engine results, but that also have a decent amount of people looking for that keyword or phrase each month. These will be the keywords or phrases that you will base the pages of your niche site on.

If there are a number of topics that you like, pick the one that you feel would be easiest to start with and then, once that site is built and generating some revenue, you can start another site. The most profitable website marketers, who use their talent of finding niches and combining that with good site content and a handful of affiliate links, have a good amount and variety of niche sites that they have started. You are never limited in what you can do with niche website marketing, unless you find out that you do not have the marketing skills or the needed funding to make it happen. Otherwise, the sky is the limit!

Making Money with Articles: Becoming an Affiliate

If you can either write articles or have the promotion and marketing knowledge to publicize articles that others write, becoming an affiliate for several companies may be a great way for you to generate a good income right from your own home. You can do this by receiving part of the revenue off of sales that the company gets from people who “click through” from your website via the company’s links that are placed on your pages.

Since you will be promoting a product or service, you will need a killer sales pitch and website content to get your readers interested in the product, convince them that they cannot live without the product, and to keep them coming back to your website time and time again for more recommendations and your useful content, which will get them clicking on your links once again. Although many affiliate companies only give you money off of the first sale you make from each customer, you have the option of promoting a good range of companies so that you can still make a profit off of your returning customers.

If you cannot write this kind of content of your own, there are many ways to pick up free or paid content to place on your affiliate website. There are many reasons why paying for such articles would be to your advantage. First, you will be able to tell the writer exactly what you want, what product you are trying to sell, and what direction they can go in to keep your readers interested and informed. On the other hand, when you search for free content, you are limited to what is already out there. Secondly, you will own the copyright to this content. That means that no one else can reuse it without your consent. If you opt for free content, you will be sharing that content with an unknown amount of other affiliate websites, plus the original author will be able to place their byline at the bottom of the article which could result in them stealing your traffic.

There are many products that have nice affiliate commission rates for those who know how to pre-sale their product and deliver click through customers who are ready to buy. As long as you choose to promote a product or service that can be very useful to a wide variety of people, then pre-selling your chosen company may not be that hard at all. The key in this situation may likely be getting those customers to your website so that they have a chance to see your recommendations and click on your affiliate links.
